This hole does provide a stiff opening test for your round. This hole plays fairly straight and does have bunkers that guard the landing area. There is also a water hazard left of the fairway on hole number 1 that runs the virtual length of the fairway.
Tips & Tricks
There is a bunker that guards short left of the fairway as well as 2 bunkers that guard the right side of the fairway.
Optimum position off this tee is right center of the fairway.
On your approach to the green you will need to navigate 1 bunker short left of the green as well as a low area roughly 10 to 20 yards short of the green.
There are 2 bunkers that guard this green: 1 short left and 1 short right front of the green.
The best miss is going to be short middle of the green to the middle left of this green.

There is a bunker that guards the left side of the fairway in the layup area for your second shot. You want to make sure to clear this bunker on your layup shot or you can always stay to the right center or right side of this fairway.
