Meet Matt, Founder of Premium Golf Experience (PGE)
Matt is the visionary founder behind Premium Golf Experience (PGE), a company that is revolutionizing the way people experience golf. A Virginia native with a strong work ethic and a passion for sports, Matt’s journey from professional BMX racing and aspiring baseball pitcher to golf entrepreneur is truly unique. His deep-rooted love for sports and helping others led him to create PGE, providing a transformative golf experience for players of all levels.
From Sports to Leadership and Innovation
Matt’s early years were spent excelling in sports, competing as a sponsored professional BMX racer and playing baseball. However, due to injuries and life changes, Matt shifted his focus to work, starting at the age of 15. He later pursued a degree in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he also began building a strong foundation in leadership.
After years of leading teams and developing others in the consumer electronics industry, Matt’s passion for sports and helping people came together when he discovered golf in early 2020. With his experience in leadership and team development, Matt made the decision to step away from his corporate career and pursue his dream of founding Premium Golf Experience alongside two close friends.

With his leadership expertise and lifelong passion for sports, Matt and his partners have built a company that is changing the way people experience golf. Meet Shane, Founder & Golf Professional at Premium Golf Experience
Shane is a passionate golf instructor with a rich background in the sport. A former assistant professional and teaching professional with the PGA of America, Shane has dedicated his life to the game of golf and to helping others develop their skills. His journey in golf has been shaped by his experiences across the Carolinas and Virginia, but it’s his personal story of resilience and recovery that truly makes him an inspiration.
A Journey Through Golf and Life
Shane’s career began in North Eastern North Carolina at Beechwood Country Club in Ahoskie, NC, where he worked under the mentorship of head professional Eddie Pinnix from 1996 to 2002. After moving to the Richmond area in 2002, Shane continued his work in the golf industry at Hunting Hawk Golf Club until 2005. His career took a surprising turn when he decided to leave the golf business in pursuit of another career path.
Overcoming Adversity to Return to Golf
In May 2018, Shane’s life changed dramatically when he underwent LVAD surgery to save his life due to major health issues. On Easter Sunday in 2019, Shane received the life-changing news that UVA Hospital had a new heart for him. Faced with the uncertainty of ever being able to play golf again, Shane’s story is one of recovery, determination, and passion.
Today, Shane not only plays the game he loves but has returned to his true calling—teaching and sharing the game of golf with others. “Sometimes life comes full circle for a reason,” Shane says, “and in my case, sharing my love and passion for the game and Premium Golf Experience (PGE) are the perfect match.”

Meet Tasha, Head of Operations & Technology at Premium Golf Experience
Tasha is the driving force behind Premium Golf Experience’s operations and technology, bringing innovative solutions to enhance the golf experience for players nationwide. With a background in biomedical science, technology, and a deep passion for sports, Tasha leads PGE with a vision to integrate the latest technologies into the world of golf, ensuring every player has an exceptional experience.
A Career Rooted in Medicine, Innovation & Leadership
Tasha’s journey began with a dream to become a surgeon, which led her to graduate with a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Jefferson College of Health Sciences (now Radford University). However, her path took an exciting turn when she began working at Samsung Electronics, where she excelled as a manager for the world’s leading mobile and tech manufacturer. Over eight years, she innovated and launched a nationwide skills workshop program that benefited hundreds of thousands and generated over $250 million in profits.
